Visual Arts – Rules of Entry
Rules of Entry
- All 11th and 12th grade students who attend school or are being home-schooled in Centre County are invited to participate.
- To enter please complete the application form and provide the materials described below, following all directions carefully. The deadline for submitting your application materials is Monday, April 19.
- Your completed application form can be submitted directly from the Clare Fund website (although an alternative form will be available if you prefer). It includes:
- Information about you
- Contact information for one reference
- A statement of goals
- Information labels for each artwork submitted.
- Digital photos of five (5) of your original works of art in the media of your choice should be submitted by email or mailed on a CD or DVD as described on the application form.
- To be considered for judging, ALL works of art must be prepared as follows:
- A separate digital photo (72 dpi) must be submitted for each artwork. Label each file with the your first initial, last name and number of piece (e.g., D. Smith – Piece #1;D. Smith-Piece #2).
- If you are submitting any 3 dimensional works you may submit more than one view of those pieces (e.g., D. Smith–Piece #1a; D. Smith – Piece #1b).
- Using the same number as listed on each photo file, complete information labels for each work of art using the labels included on the application form.
- A panel of qualified professionals in the visual arts will select the scholarship recipients. Up to four scholarships will be awarded ($1000, $750, $500, and $250). The decision of the judges is final.
- Artwork of all qualified applicants will be displayed on the Virtual Art Gallery on The Clare Fund website.
