General Contributions to The Clare Fund
Through the generosity of Craig and Mary Avedesian, the Clare Dahlia Snetsinger Memorial Fund of the non-profit Centre County Community Foundation was established in 1999 to honor Clare’s creativity and humanity and ensure that her spirit will live on despite her untimely death at the age of 17. Your contribution can help build a self-sustaining endowment fund that will enable our region to recognize, reward, and encourage talented high school students throughout Centre County far into the future and support their continuing pursuit and appreciation of the arts.
An adequate endowment will mean that each year $5000 or more in scholarships will be provided as Clare Dahlia Snetsinger Awards of Excellence in the Visual Arts or Performing Arts. A careful assessment of applicants by a highly qualified panel of judges will ensure that the awards are given to deserving young people in Centre County. The money awarded will be in the form of scholarships to be used for post-high school educational or professional development purposes at an institution of the recipient’s choice
